South Sanford Station was opened in 1989 at the Sanford Regional Airport.  It currently houses Engine 3,  Ladder 2, Forestry 2, and the boat.

South Sanford District encompasses the airport, the industrial park, and is rapidly expanding in residential and commercial occupancies, but a large part of the district is still rural residential.

                                              Staffing is 1 Lieutenant and 1 Firefighter
