Since 1995 members of Local 1624 have participated in softball games with members of various professional new england sports teams. The games are held at historic Goodall Park on Roberts St. in downtown Sanford, and are always well attended. We sincerely appreciate the support shown us by the community every year. With the proceeds from the games we have been able to donate thousands of dollars to charities and organizations like the Maine Childrens Cancer Program, IAFF Burn Foundation, The Goodall Hospital Lifeline Program, Because We Care, The Military Family Fund, and The Sanford Mainers baseball team. We have also made available 2 $1000 scholarships to local high school seniors attending college for fire or ems related studies.
